Japanese 天空(Tenqoo) means airy region of the sky. As the name suggests, it is grown without pesticides in tea fields at an altitude of 850m, which is by far the highest. This altitude is almost twice as high as other tea-producing areas, so heat and cold gap of the day is large, and the umami sweetness accumulates in the tea leaves. In addition, the river mist that rises from the foot moderates the sunlight and makes the tea leaves soft with little astringency. It is supported by traditional agriculture that has continued climbing steep mountains for 600 years.
